Tom Sayer is an attorney in private practice and serves as General Counsel to several real estate, hotel and travel marketing companies. Representation has included handling hundreds of commercial transactions involving, among other things, real estate acquisitions totaling in excess of $4.5 billion, as well as overseeing numerous lawsuits in the areas of real estate, bankruptcy, employment and commercial law.

Memberships
From 1998-2021, Mr. Sayer served as General Counsel and a Board Member of the San Diego Hotel and Lodging Association. He has also served as Chairman of Accessible San Diego and President of the San Diego Chapter of the Cornell Society of Hotelmen. He helped form the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program at San Diego State University in 1999 and, from its inception through 2021, taught the Hospitality Law & Policy course.
Mr. Sayer also has served as President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club and served as President of the SDDB Rotary Club Foundation. He is a current Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of the San Diego History Center and serves on the Boards of the McAlister Institute and the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation.
